COMPOSITE REGIONAL CENTRE FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT, REHABILITATION & EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, NAGPUR (CRC) is a service institution set up under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (MSJ&E). Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) Government of India with aim of creating & development resources, infrastructure & service required for Persons with Disabilities ( PWDs ) in the state of Maharashtra. There are National Institutes & other apex bodies in each area of disability in different parts of India under the same Ministry. The ministry has set up CRCs in different parts of India. CRC at Nagpur is the 9th such institution and has become functional since October 2015. Currently CRC Nagpur is functioning under the administrative control of Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech & Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), Mumbai. Apart from undertaking centre based, camp based rehabilitation related awareness academic & service provision activities, it also functions as apex resources centre for Persons with Disabilities .
